With its duty-free shops, local markets known as souks and shopping malls, Dubai is a shopper’s haven. It is home to the third largest shopping mall in the world-the Mall of Emirates. From designer goods to gold to spices to silks and other textiles to cheap electronics to Persian rugs to precious stones, you will find it all in Dubai. The perfume souk is home to thousands of fragrances, though their fragrances are stronger than western perfumes. Spices are available at cheap prices at the spice souk- frankincense, incense, cinnamon, cloves among other Middle Eastern seasonings, dried fruits and nuts. Some people prefer the comfort of the air-conditioned and glamorous malls for their shopping. The Dubai International Airport is not left out; the shops there stock duty-free goods. However and wherever you shop it is tax free. With all these, it is not surprising that every year Dubai holds a shopping festival known as the Dubai Shopping Festival. The festival holds in January and February and during this period the malls and the souks give incredible promos, discounts and bargains to shoppers. Beautiful island of Cyprus

Located somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, below the Republic of Turkey is located the beautiful island of Cyprus. Geographically, it is located within Asian territory but is politically a member of the European Union (EU). It is the third largest Mediterranean island and the 81st largest in the world. Cyprus shares borders with Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt and Greece. Cyprus is one of the continent’s hottest holiday destinations.

The Republic of Cyprus has a rather interesting, and lately, turbulent history. Starting from records which point to a very strong link with the ancient Greek empire, and later on, Egyptian rule, the island was at various times occupied by different empires. By 58 BC, it was finally under the Roman rule. Following decades of neglect and poor leadership, the locals opted for a union with Greece. Today, various portions of Cyprus are under the control of the Greeks, Turks, British and the United Nations.

Expectedly, the weather here is moves from Mediterranean in most parts to semi-arid in the remainder portions of the island. Summers are dry and very hot and the winters are cool. As at 2007, the average Cypriot earned above his companions on the continent. Cyprus has a very high positive ranking for the various indices used to measure standard of living. With the recent discovery of oil off the coast, the economy just cannot wait to expand. For now, tourism seems to be the cash cow and the ripple effect has spilled over the property sector which is also expanding rapidly.

CAPE TOWN WELCOMES THE WORLD

Doubling both as the seat of the West Cape Province and the legislative seat of the nation, the name of this city is Cape Town. It is the second largest city in South Africa and the southernmost city when you look at the map of Africa. Cape Town occupies a prominent place in the history of the South African nation. Among the locals, it is nicknamed the Mother City. The landmass covered by the metropolitan area is extremely massive, though the city centre occupies only a little portion of this area.

Cape Town enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Summers here are hot with low atmospheric humidity levels. Summer stretches from December down to the months of March and April. Summer temperatures could jump as high as 26 °C, with the sun staying up very late into the day in December. The beaches are usually crowded with beach goers basking in the summer sun. In general, hospitality facilities are stretched a little bit and prices are astronomical. If you are on a restricted budget, then this is the least possible time to get cheap flights to Cape Town. On the other hand, winters here are cool and rainy. Temperatures drop as low as 5 °C during this period. Winter comes in June and by the end of July, it is gone. The rains may not be very likeable, but the seafood during the winter is incredible.

Not only the largest but also the busiest airport in Asia

Dubai is the most prominent of the seven emirates that make up what we know as the United Arab Emirates (UAE). For sometime now, Dubai has taken its pride of place among cities regarded in the tourism and merchandise business. Some would like to believe that this new status is a direct consequence of its strategic trading route location and foresight of its leaders.

For entry, visitors and tourists need to obtain a United Arab Emirates tourists’ visa. The only reason you may not get a visa is if you have previously criminal issues in the Emirates or you are Jewish. The Emirates Bus Service shuttles between Dubai and the six other emirates.

Neighboring Omanis can access Dubai by crossing the border at Al Wajajah. The most common entry port for outsiders remains the Dubai International Airport. It is not only the largest but also the busiest airport in Asia, with flights connecting Dubai with practically every major city in the world. It serves as the hub for the national carrier, Emirates Air. Other major airlines and a number of no-frills airlines offering cheap flights to Dubai land at this airport regularly.

The second airport, Sharjah International Airport, though not as popular as the Dubai International Airport is very busy. If you land a good bargain on very cheap flights to Dubai, then you are likely to be disembarking here. The public transportation setup is arguably the best around the continent, so moving around should add more fun to your business.

The Easiest Way To Grab A Cheap Ticket To Europe

Europe was once the place where everyone wanted to go and explore. Don’t get me wrong, Europe still holds all its ancient and modern attractions only it has to compete these days with the audacious successes of noveau tourist attractions like Dubai. This does not in any way take away the fact that Europe remains one of the most historical and attractive continent to visit at any time. From the ancient history and sights of the United Kingdom to one of the spiritual capitals of the world; Rome and the comparative modern beauty of the French capital, Paris amongst many other places, you will not lack places to visit and sights to see nor for that matter, sounds to hear. Exploring Europe and getting a cheap flight to Europe will require quite an amount of flying on your part in order to get from one place to another. This could be pretty expensive so it is important that you know how to go about getting cheap ticket to Europe.

To start with, you have to conduct your search online for the airlines that offer cheapest airfare and allow you compare flight prices. That way, you know how to proceed and make your plans for your cheap holidays. Just off the cuff, I can tell you that you’ll get many of such airlines and some of them are Ryanair, BMI, EasyJet, Air Berlin, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Flybe and Wizzair so you can easily compare cheap flights. Of course, as said earlier, there are many more. These are all Europe based airlines and offer cheap flights.

In travelling within Europe, you will many airports (the entire continent seems to be bursting at the seams with them). These airports offer you lower costs in terms of the fare even cheap flights to Dubai. Of course, many of them are not located within the major parts of town but the costs savings in terms of the fares and other transport expenditures will be worth it.
If you are flying into London, you will have the luxury of choosing from four airports; London Heathrow Airport (LHR), Gatwick Airport (LGW) and Stansted Airport (STN). Although the number of airlines that fly into Heathrow Airport which is the largest in London are restricted, you will find more flights going into the other two and you can get cheapest flights.

In exploring Europe, you will be better off flying straight into a hub for air travel such as Paris and London and from there, navigating your way through the continent. The competition amongst the airlines ferrying passengers into those cities augurs well for passengers in terms of the airfares and te opportunity to compare holidays. Once you are in any of these hub cities, it becomes much easier to get low cost airlines to other parts of the continent. If you also flying in from say, New York and your intended destination is Rome, you are well advised to fly into London first and from there, take a nice and cheap flight to Rome.

Travel Tips To Getting The Cheapest Flights

Most of us like to travel by air and quite comfortably too but many times the budget we have makes it hard to get the usually perks which come with a nicely packaged cheap flight. The result is that many people usually find it hard to get the cheapest flights as they travel by air. It is not as hard is it seems but there are some things that we just have to know in our quest to make the best of a budget which has many competing items and projects. Let us look at some of the things which we need to understand in order to get the cheapest flights as we jet around.
First, it is important to understand that most of the sites we visit for our travel needs fall under three basic categories; aggregators, booking engines as well as airlines’ booking portal. Aggregators are those sites which just give you the opportunity to compare the flight prices. They make their money via the adverts which they display on their sites, you know, the Google Adsense and hotel deals. Examples of these include Expedia.com. Booking engines actually allow you to compare prices and book through them for a fee which is added to the flight fare itself. They are authorized to process bookings on behalf of the airline. Orbitz is an example of such sites. The airlines bookings portals allow you to make your bookings directly through them. SouthWest for example allows you to do this. That way, you save yourself the fee you would have paid the booking engine.
It is also very important for you to ask questions when you book for instance, try using the phone to book. You will usually get very personalized service and your questions will get answered. If you use the nearest airport, will you get a rebate? Just make sure that you ask and get answers. Also, try to negotiate. Who says you cannot negotiate? The price is not always fixed! You never know until you ask questions. You recall the popular saying…when I doubt, ask!
Make sure that you book ahead for example, three weeks is an ideal timeframe and if within the time and when you are to travel, the price comes down, make sure that you ask for the difference as some of the booking sites like Orbitz actually allow you to have the difference back.
One of the biggest means of guaranteeing yourself cheapest flights is to exercise flexibility when making your travel plans. You should be prepared to travel at the times of the day when people are avoiding movement thus forcing the prices to reduce. Also there are days of the week or periods of the year when low passenger traffic reduces fares and gets you really low fares. Prepare yourself to make those flexible movements in your agenda.
I am sure these few tips will help you manage your compare holidays plans within your budget and still enjoy your trip.

What you have to do to get cheap flights for your trip

I have always had a knack for getting the very best deals. I mean that. My personal belief ever since childhood has been that there is always a better deal out there for me and guess what? I have always found that deal. When I became old enough to make my own decisions regarding my travelling particularly air travel, I made it a point to look for the less expensive options. It has not been easy but then with the establishment of more airlines and the competition between them, the road had been paved for travelers to get cheap flights for their travelling. I always seem to get cheap flights whenever I choose to go by air to the envy of my family and friends and the last time I visited during the annual family reunion, they decided to pick my brains. How do I do it? It is not really difficult and truth be told, anyone can get better deals anytime.
As with anything else in life, I am always patient in trying to get a nice arrangement to manage my sometimes tight budget. I always have to do my research and this takes time. It involves making comparisons between what different airlines have to offer and this is not what you want to rush into. As I said, it requires patience. Additionally, I try to make sure that any travel plan of mine is done within reasonable time ahead. This way, I can research based on what the airlines have available for that period far ahead. If there is going to be a promo, I can act quickly and on time and maybe, even get some perks as an early bird. In other words, as I told my family, develop a schedule for your travel for three to six month periods and then do your research. Make sure that you update your research as time passes.
One of the advantages of having a schedule and planning ahead is the ability to adapt. Once I have been able to make my plans ahead, when I see an advantage in the system, I move to take advantage of it immediately. I am usually prepared to move a day ahead of time as I have the luxury of having of having my time calculated.
One of the attributes of a person who always gets better deals is that he asks questions. I make it a point to enquire from the airlines what promos, rebates or other are available and if I have already made my move only to discover a better deal shortly afterwards, I also feel no abashment at calling the airline in question to enquire whether my good deal can be ‘upgraded’. It sometimes is! This raised some eyebrows at the reunion but then it is true.
I also ensure that I look up the airlines’ websites for their own prices and the truth is, more often than not, they have better prices as they do not charge the fees which some of the agents charge.
